President's Message
WELCOME TO THE MSA!
I am pleased to welcome all members to our organization. We
are here to support you. We are the Maintenance
Superintendents Association of the Inland Empire/Desert
Chapter and all of us are committed to the success and
education to all of our members. Our values and integrity are
displayed through our professionalism, knowledge, dedication
and commitment to the agencies and businesses we serve. This
organization is an effective network system for municipal
managers, supervisors, and vendors to communicate, educate,
and provide pertinent information to the organizations and
agencies we serve.
The Inland Empire/Desert Chapter meets the 4th
Thursday of every month, and has an educational topic for the
benefit of those in attendance. Also, at each meeting vendor
members have an opportunity to promote their represented
companies with 'Vendor on a Soapbox'. We will also host
Administrative Professional Appreciation Day in April, a
Vendor Appreciation Day in October, and scholarship awards
every June.
Our goal is to educate and provide support to all
chapter members. Our Chapter continually sponsors and
subsidizes classes and workshops to provide essential training
that is available to all members. We are committed to safety,
knowledge, and awareness in the functions of public works.
To promote a career in the field public works, we have
scholarships available for students attending educational
institutions majoring in public works. Scholarship
applications are due in April and awarded every June at the
general meeting.
This Chapter also sponsors a training and trade show
where vendor members have the opportunity to display
equipment, tools, and materials available for use in public
services. The trading and trade show also hosts educational
and training workshops focused on general maintenance service
workers.
A Chapter Annual Golf Tournament is held in May with
all proceeds going to our scholarship recipients. We hope to
see everyone there for a day to both relax and benefit a great
cause.
The Inland Empire/Desert Chapter will host the
Maintenance Superintendents Association State Conference
September 24th - 28th, 2012 in Fantasy
Springs.
In closing, I am honored and fortunate to be a part of
this organization. I have gained lasting professional
relationships, and more importantly, gained a network of
information, and means of education and training. I look
forward to serving with all of you and our chapters, and to
promote the success of this organization. Thank You!
